Our Schedule

After my last post on our curriculum choices for this year, I was asked to post what our daily schedule looked like. We are NOT super-scheduled people here, though I do need a little bit of structure to my day to survive.  So, I would consider this much more of a flow-chart than a rigid time line.  We do TRY and keep this order of things, though sometimes the times may change slightly, depending on what time my kids wake up, etc...

Our day is broken up into hour time slots.  As the kids finish their work for the time slot, they are allotted free time until the end of the hour.  This is an incentive for them to finish up their work without procrastination.  If they do all their assignments for the hour in only 40 minutes, they have 20 minutes left to do what they choose.  The younger ones naturally have less work, while the older ones have a little bit more.  It also helps in catching everyone up, so that we can start new on something together.  Any work that is not finished by the time that hour is up, will get finished later after dinner.

This is a look at what our week looks like Tuesday through Friday.  On Mondays we're in class all day with Classical Conversations.  Nothing special, but here it is.
