A friend of mine posted this on FB yesterday:

"Facebook has become one of the greatest prayers chains I have ever witnessed.  It works exponentially."

I kind of love that. :)

For those who have been following along on FB or on our blog, you will know that this story has captured the attention of so many people.  Many more than we could ever count.  One of the most wonderful things that has come from this is seeing God's people rally around to pray for a complete stranger. Working just as the body is supposed to work.  I know God is moving in the hearts of many and this is so much bigger than just a healing of Anna's body. It has gotten the attention of so many and I believe He is using it to pull people closer to Him.  I've received MULTIPLE emails of how God is using Anna's journey to cause them to seek Him trust Him know Him more intimately.  And with each new miracle, we've watched as people have cheered and praised our God.  That God would even allow our little blog to play a minor role in that, blesses me.

I did have the opportunity to talk with Charles this evening a little.  As you know, he flew out to Fresno veeerrrrrryyyy early this morning and got to spend the afternoon at the hospital with his whole family.  He was very encouraged because Anna has been doing GREAT today!  Her vitals are good, and she has even been opening her eyes and responding to commands some.  The hospital staff believe that she has turned a corner and they are confering as to when she can start on blood thinners.  This would be HUGE!  Her body just needs to rest and begin the healing process.  She certainly has a long road ahead of her, but we trust that our God will sustain her.

In the meantime, please continue to pray.  For Anna, but also for her children.  She has (now) 7 children at home waiting for their mama to return.  Of course there is baby Micah who is completely dependent on extended family to care for him, but also 6 others (ages 9,8,7,6,5, and 2).  There have been lots of questions, such as, "When is Mommy coming home?" and "Why can't Mommy call us?"  Pray that the Lord would protect their little hearts.  So thankful for aunts and uncles and grandmoms and grandpops who can love on them as they wait.  I imagine that my husband is out there starting a wrestling match with those boys as we speak. :)

I'll leave you with a couple pictures....

Home at last!

Love to all!

  1. Love the pictures! Thanks for sharing (still.) =) Cheering for all the news and progress! Praying for continued, perfect healing!

  2. What a beautiful family..inside and out. Everyday as my heart cries out to the Lord for this family to be united again, I'm challenged to live out my faith not by fear but by resting in His mercies. Great is your faithfulness Lord! Praise Him for he has done great things.

  3. Thank you for the updates Kirsten and I love the pictures! I have several friends that attend Sierra View Church. I have been praying for Anna and your family. I have two children adopted from China ages 7 and 6 - Tasha and Isaac. Your entire blog has been a blessing to read. Thank you for sharing. I am continuing to pray for Anna, Micah, and all the family. Blessings to you, Dianne

  4. "I lie down and sleep: I awake again, because the Lord sustains me." Psalm 3:5 And from Luke 5:26,"They were filled with awe and said, 'We have seen remarkable things today.'" Both verses have struck me from my regular readings in the past few days. His word has brought such encouragement to me and my family each day!

  5. Who wouldn't be heartened to see that dear little group of seven all together? My prayer is for all those caring for baby Micah during these newborn days. So very challenging and yet rewarding. Thank you, God, for sending the army of prayer warriors, yet another army of family (how blessed are they who have such an amazing gift from You), and for all who work to keep us updated. Please continue to touch Anna's inmost being and every cell and molecule that must work together to bring her back to full health. May she be able to breathe on her own; may her blood work perfectly and her hemoglobin rise; may her moments to lock eyes with her dear husband increase and her panic be absent (I can't imagine, Lord, what it must be to wake with a tube in your throat but you are THERE, too); may she be able to hear from Brian and her family that her children are so loved and well-cared for, including and especially her new little Micah who awaits his mommy. In Christ's Name, Amen.

  6. I do not know you, or Anna, but only know Robynn (above). We are praying here at our house in Fresno, CA. The comments on here have encouraged me too, this morning. Rebecca's reference to Psalm 3 was just what I needed to sustain me through some sorrow that I've been experiencing. I just LOVE the family of God. I will pass this to my chain of prayer warriors as well, so that the prayers can increase exponentially like you said. Peace to you, sister.

  7. I just heard about this (via a FB Scripture / Prayer group)...praying NOW for everyone involved.

  8. Oh just found this today, thanks to FB I do so hope that she gets better. I'm praying and will be following up frequently to see if there are updates. So worried for this momma and her many children! Continue to share specific requests!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Thank you for your update and the precious pictures. I am another mom of 7 and I have 7 children praying very fervently for Anna and her children.
